Hello Generation Blockchain!
A couple weeks ago, during Prague Blockchain Week, MakerDAO threw a "Dappy Hour" on a pirate ship! QR codes were set up at the bar and people had to pay 1 DAI for 1 drink. BEN volunteered to help people download a wallet and make sure they had enough gas. Proceeds from the event were then donated to BEN ~ We raised 515 Dai in just two hours!

Renew your membership before the year ends! BEN has a new Terms of Service that our members must agree too. Whether you have graduated or not, make sure you fill out our new membership form at blockchainedu.org/members to agree to our new Terms of Service, or you may not be able to log in after January 1, 2019.

Chapter Spotlights

BEN, BEN India, and the MIT Bitcoin Club pooled together funding, resources, and willpower to bring 5 students from BEN India to the MIT Bitcoin Expo last spring. Akarsh Agarwal from BEN India recounts the experience.

The MIT Bitcoin Club gave the floor to Ben Jones to talk about Plasma, a popular proposed scaling solution for Ethereum.

The Northwestern Blockchain Group invited in Paul Cowgill from Tasit Labs for a Crypto & Web 3 Workshop on the different components of the crypto / web 3.0 stack.

Blockchain at Berkeley held a Hedera Hashgraph meetup, a relatively new competitor to blockchain gaining traction.
